Physical health is the crucial factor that pumps out motivation and energy to live our best. It is especially important for adolescents to maintain their healthy eating habits and good exercising habits to strengthen their body systems for the future as well. Students interested in shaping up bodies and fixing bad eating habits should sign up for the Hollywood Fitness Challenge.
This fitness challenge is a two week program that starts from Feb. 1 to Feb. 13-a two week challenge that is equitable for students to adjust to the positive body changes that takes patience and persistence. This work-out dare is designed by SAS junior Healthy Club president Adriana Hernandez and NMA senior Emily Guardado, and is ultimately supported by TCA health teacher Randall Fenderson.
“I look forward to [see] motivation and desire to make a change from students,” said Fenderson. “The idea [of this program] is to go out to set a physical goal and make yourself attain that goal. This makes me support [those students].”
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, academic achievement is an excellent indicator for the overall well-being of youth and a primary predictor and determinant of adult health outcomes; in other words, healthy students are likely to have successful futures.
This two-week challenge will not only set students to be physically involved, but also boost their confidence and self-respect for their emotional health too. Those who are interested or have any questions can go to room 222 and ask Fenderson.
