Support your fellow Sheiks as they take on the Dragons Friday night

The boys and girls basketball teams will be facing against Hollywood’s biggest rival, the Bernstein dragons on Feb. 5. The girls basketball team will be playing at Bernstein, and the boys will be playing at Hollywood, both teams will be putting up a fight. The tickets to get into the boys basketball game at will be sold at the door for $2 with a student ID.
The boys played against Bernstein on Jan. 20, when they lost with a score of 89-73. It was a close game up to second half when the boys were winning by five points, 65-60. However, after the third quarter the team began losing focus. However, the crowd was roaring and everyone felt a sense of sheik pride. This game the boys feel confident, SAS Junior Malyk Adams, varsity basketball player said, “Our team will play an excellent game Friday night, just know we are bringing our A game. Don’t sleep on the wood kids.”
The game at our house will be a lot more intense considering the rivalry and the past experiences with basketball games in our gym. In 2014, a fight broke out after Hollywood won, which caused great chaos everywhere. This year the administration and the leadership students will manage to give everyone a safe, great experience.
