The Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King was on Jan. 16. Los Angeles celebrated with an annual Kingdom Day Parade. Thousands arrived to continue and spread the message that Dr. King fought for.
The theme of the parade was “Now More Than Ever, We Must Work Together.” With the racism, violence, and more issues involved today, everyone must be kind to one another and come as one.
Not only did people arrive and celebrate for Dr. King’s birthday, but to spread messages about the world today. Such as, how President Obama has helped many individuals across the country and how we must all be in peace. Many also sought opportunities to advertise their companies/businesses.
Hollywood Highschool’s Spirit Squad and JROTC were invited to march in the parade. In the near end of the parade, all performed and were evaluated by a judge.
32nd annual Kingdom Day Parade was eventful and let’s hope for an amazing 33rd next year.
