Old Spice’s Holi Sprays Toy Donation exchange was an event that took place on Dec.10 to promote the ongoing Toy Drive which started Dec. 3 and finished Dec. 15, to give toys to underprivileged children. This event was led by its two ambassadors: actor Nolan Gould and Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa.
The Sheiks were the first to host this event in Los Angeles. It was coordinated by Assistant Principal Samuel Dovlatian and leadership student Monica Martinez. According to Monica, about 200 toys were donated.
In the last three years, there was a toy drive sponsored by a different nonprofit organization. Nevertheless, this year, Old Spice will donate all toys to Second Chance Toys, a funded organization.
It was the first time Nolan has participated in a toy drive. “We are trying to teach children about how important it is to give back…hopefully we will make some families happy this year,” he said.
Mustafa was hoping for the best. “I would hope there would be more of these events in other high schools,” he said.
Old Spice donated $2,500 to the school. They also donated body spray and deodorant to the boys locker room.
