Class of 2016 elects new officers

The elections for the Junior Class Council took place from Nov. 5th to Nov. 7th. Each junior were given a booklet which contained the different running candidates, and speeches of each individuals. On the first day, about 10 to 15 percent of all juniors went to vote. By the end of the week, only 45 percent of juniors went to vote for the nominees, said SAS Junior Oscar Aguila who was in charge of signing in the students to vote.
On Wednesday Nov.12, the Junior Class Council will announce the winners of the new positions for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasure. The results are in!
To give an idea, the votes were very close and here are the following numbers:
The new President for the Junior Class Council is Franklin Franco who won by 92 percent of the votes. Vice President won by 24 percent, Secretary won by 38 percent, and last but not least the Treasure wins by 36 percent.
“The goal is the bowl” is the phrase that motivates the Class of 2016 to achieve many obstacles that might occur during their Senior year.
