Although only 50 tickets have been sold for junior prom, organizers say the dance will be held if they sell 100 tickets by tomorrow. Ticket prices have remained $15 for the second week in order to encourage sales.

Mostly everything is being donated, including the DJ,  according to Laura Moreno, vice president of the Junior Class Council. “They still need to pay for the school police, campus aides and the janitor,” said Cassandra Morris, assistant principal.

Laura said, “Our initial goal was to sell 250 tickets.” Because they have not reached that goal, they are trying to engage students to participate in the Hollywood royal court.

This Hollywood royal court is just the junior prom king and queen. To be eligible, one must write a one page essay and meet the requirements. The prom committee has extended the deadline from Monday to this Wednesday at lunch.

The Junior Prom Committee meets every Monday and they are having a special meeting on Friday to organize the dance. The dance has been called junior prom but any grade can go.
