Upcoming British artist, “Slowthai,” recently released his highly anticipated third album, “UGLY” on Mar 3. This album comes after a two year hiatus stemming from his last album, “Tyron.”
Slowthai is considered a new artist, although his breakout single, “Doorman” was released in 2019. Despite his success, he isn’t considered a mainstream artist by means, and usually stays dormant on social media unless he is promoting his music.
A week after its release, reviews are coming in about the quality of the album, and so far it is doing beyond expectations with sites such as Metacritic rating it a 90/100.
The album is a mix of punk rock and hip-hop, a common theme throughout all of his music. The hype from his album came from his work on Tyron, with fans wanting more after he released it.
The album tackles many modern subjects, such as drug abuse and mental illness, Slowthai even throws in his own personal issues in order to create a story for the listener to imagine.
Slowthai stated on social media that, “I made this album at a time when I hated myself, creating this album saved me and taught me how to love myself.” Slowthai aimed to show powerful life lessons while creating this album for the listener to take to heart.
Slowthai aims to keep his fans even happier, announcing that he will be doing an album tour in Europe starting in September.

Great Job!!!
