Yallwest Book Festival Comes to Santa Monica

The Yallwest book festival is an annual book event where there is food, book signings and popular authors.

This year the book festival begins on Friday April 29 and ends Sunday May 1st in Santa Monica High School.

Although free, there are events that are ticketed such as the kickoff keynote with Tahereh Mafi and Marie Lu.

According to the website,yallwest.com,“Over 113  authors including New York Times Bestsellers along with local and acclaimed young adult and middle grade writers, plus notable Hollywood directors and creators.”

Some of the authors attending are Neal Shusterman (Unwind) Sara Zarr (Story of a Girl) Tahereh Mafi(Shatter Me) Veronica Roth (Divergent trilogy) David J. Peterson (creator of Dothraki language in Game of Thrones show).
