“A Taste of Tomorrow” took place Wednesday and involved celebrity guest stars, job opportunities, and lots of food. Students were excited to see Terry Crews, Colin Hanks Aubrey Plaza and various other artists.
These celebrities were involved in this event to help raise money for charity. Students also benefited by attending several class sessions.
Marketing food places were crowded on every square foot of the quad. The Food Fair began at 5:30 p.m., giving an opportunity to apply for a job at the Job Fair. Many students thought it was great to be able to experience a job interview. Resumes were taken into consideration, if a resume was good enough, a second interview was offered. Food corporations included Chipotle, Panda Express, and Bruxie. The cafeteria was full of well-dressed teenagers ready to take on a new challenge in life.
The fun did not stop however, until everyone participated in the Food Fair. Adults, children, teachers, and students all contributed to the eating part of the day. Sprinkles, Tender Greens, Bruxie, Lemonade, and more were all giving free food. There were food booths on every side of the quad. Pepsi had a setup of tables and seats, and The Habit was giving free boxes of burgers and fries. Everyone was overwhelmed because there was just so much food and such little ability to carry all of it.
Music played, Randy Jackson and Terry Crews were in the auditorium giving speeches and the new garden’s ribbon was cut. It is safe to say that Wednesday had to be the best day most students have experienced at Hollywood High.
