In freshman year we thought senior year would be the easiest one of all, because our requirements would almost be done. However, everything we imagined was far from the truth.

The classes are still hard and stressful. Teachers expect the best from students since we are all considered young adults. One thing that wasn’t expected was the senior project. There was talk  about it during freshman and sophomore year, but we didn’t know exactly what was expected.

We quickly got used to the idea of having the senior project. However, what we didn’t know was the stressful process of completing college applications. If seniors want to take full advantage of the college application wiavers, they will apply to four UCs, four CSUs, and four private universities. Seniors need to finish UC and CSU applications by the Nov. 30th deadline.

All seniors are stressed about their future and are working hard on test to get good scores so that the colleges will accept them. Other students take more than just honors classes; they take AP classes to challenge themselves even more to have something to put on their college essays.

There are plenty of resources to get from the college center that can potentially help seniors prepare for the future. Every Monday after school, Mrs. Brown provides students with college information, and filling out college applications.
