SAS sophomores went on a field trip to one of the most well-known and prestigious universities, UCLA, last Friday.

They left Hollywood High around 9:30 a.m.. with SAS Lead Teacher Karen Cusolito,  J.T. Burciaga, SAS History teacher,  and Emily Taron, Italian teacher.  Burciaga and Taron are UCLA alumni.

At UCLA, the students met in front of the Bruin statue and received a tour from student tour guides. While on the tour they were explained the basics of UCLA, the campus, the famous buildings, the application process for admittance into UCLA, the school spirit students demonstrate, clubs, and more.

After an hour of touring the campus, the students had free time to hang out with their friends and eat lunch at Ackerman Student Union. Ackerman Union is a large complex with four floors consisting of various restaurants, stores, and congregation halls. The students had an opportunity to roam the various restaurants and shops for lunch.

The students returned to school around 12:45 P.M.
