Hollywood High to form new wrestling team

A meeting for students who want to join wrestling will be held at the quad on May 16 after school. They will be discussing how they are going to fundraise for singlets, uniforms and wrestling mats. The wrestling coach will be Mike Fernandez, who is also the lineman coach for the Varsity football team. As of now the projected time that wrestling will start practicing is sometime on January next year.

“It’s exciting to see a new sport where new people play and practice their skills and also strengthen their upper body strength. It would also be fun have matches in the gym,” athletic director Raul Grijalva said.
