Dance Guard had a fundraiser after school on May 8, selling chicken and waffles from 3:30-5:30pm in the school cafeteria.
There was a donation fee for $5.00 per plate and an additional charge of $1.00 for a drink. “This is a wonderful fundraiser. The chicken compliments the waffle,” said SAS junior Eduardo Garcia.
The first 10 people who ordered got a free bowl card from Chipotle’s Shophouse Southeast Asian Kitchen. The next 25 people who ordered received a Bogo free card from Chipotle’s Shophouse Southeast Asian Kitchen.
“Everything was delicious I thoroughly enjoyed it and I was looking forward to it all day”, said PE/Dance teacher Lisa Goldschein.
Dance Guard is trying to earn funding for uniforms for Starfest. Starfest is a yearly show L.A.C.E.R. puts on which involves all afterschool programs from all schools L.A.C.E.R. is a part of. This year it will be held on June 1st in LeConte Middle School.
“Dance guard is doing this fundraiser not only to make us known, but to draw funders to our program to keep it lasting,”said PAM sophomore Adrean Jackson.
