The Powerpuff event, a tradition where juniors and senior girls compete in a friendly flag football game, is set for May 31 at 6 pm.

Powerpuff is a yearly event organized by the LACER afterschool program and ASB Leadership. The girls have been practicing every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday after school from  4 to 5 pm.

“It’s been really fun. I enjoy practicing with all the amazing girls,” said Melissa Luis, a TCA senior.

Many giveaways will be taking place as well as face painting and concessions will be sold.

“I’m pretty happy with the team that we have, I have a strong feeling we will win,” said Precious Mariano, a SAS junior.

The boys are also practicing for their halftime show as cheerleaders to support their team. The players wearing pink will be cheering the seniors, and those wearing purple are supporting the juniors.

Last year, seniors won the PowerPuff title with 38-12.
