The boy’s baseball team looks forward to getting back on track tomorrow, with a win against the Roybal Titans. They will have the home field advantage.
This year’s baseball team has far exceeded expectations from last season, already having one more win compared to last, holding a 4-5 record with six games still left to go. Two of those losses came at the hands of Roybal.
Sheiks went on a dominant three-game winning streak, totaling their opponents 33-5 in those three games combined.
This turnaround is credited to new head coach Thomas Romero, who also served as the school’s football coach. The team hopes to move up in the standings with this win, as they are currently third in the standings, with one league win behind Mendez.
With a few crucial wins in these next coming games, a playoff berth is a real possibility, which fans consider a tremendous overall turnaround from the baseball program.
