Seniors place your votes for your senior president on Wednesday. Candidates will be giving speeches in the auditorium during the college readiness day. While the other students are taking the psats.
Candidates were invited to share their statements with the crimson chronicle. The following candidates submitted statements:
Tania Gonzalez- Why am I Running for this Position?
– I am running for this position because I am determined to recover the lost years covid took from us. I want to ensure that we get to be productive and leave our mark on Hollywood High.
What I have to offer.
– I am a great listener. I often have great conversations with people of any age due to my maturity. I make sure to thoroughly listen to issues and give my input on the situation to find a solution.
– I am a problem solver. I have been surrounded by issues for half my life but I always look for a positive outlook. I am human and do seem defeated at times, but I always make sure to stand up again and resolve the issue.
– Event planner: I have been planning events and even my family’s day-to-day plans since I was 10. I always plan everything so we can act in the most productive way and still have time left over to have some fun.
– Keen eye for detail: From my event planning, I learn to pay attention to details. This is why my friends resort to me whether it is drawing, songwriting, or stories.
– Dedicated: Whatever I do, I do it right. If I am not passionate, I would instead not do it. All my work reflects who I am, my interests.
– Transparency: I prefer to be honest in order to maintain credibility. Whenever I’m asked a question, I give the most truthful answer.
How do I Plan to Succeed?
– I plan to do this by hosting more events and service hours. I will use social media to promote clubs we could all be interested in. I am also hoping to host fundraisers to increase our spending budget or maybe even charity. My biggest goal of all is to leave our mark here at Hollywood High. We can only do this together. Kristina Nazarenko-
I am a person with an active life position: I participate in the life of our school. School is our second home and life in it should not be monotonous and boring, or unfair and uncomfortable. The school has no less problems than achievements. But most of them are old shortcomings, which we will soon get rid of together.
School is our home, and only we are all together responsible for it. If we want the school to be better, then we have no right to keep silent about its problems and shortcomings.
My goal is to get the interest and activity of students, as well as to make everyone in the school feel their importance and belonging.
In my campaign:
– Compliance with school traditions by all students.
– Respect for each other.
-Events to motivate students keep the school clean
– Creation of a school mailbox (electronic and actual) (anonymous letters, suggestions, comments, etc.)
– Organization of thematic evenings and events for students and teachers.
