Throughout June and July, the YMCA will offer a free gym pass to anyone between the ages 12-17. All locations in the Los Angeles County are participating in the free summer membership program for teens.
Not only will there be an open gym, but there will also be classes offered for spin, swim, and other activities. Optional programs included are college readiness and leadership development, which comes in handy for those planning to apply for college after summer.
The YMCA is also offering free meals to members of this summer program. But one of the best opportunities being offered at the YMCA is working part-time!
If none of the programs being offered seem appealing, there is the option of only using the open gym. This is a great opportunity to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle throughout all of summer. The best part is that it is all free, making it an opportunity that no one should turn down.
In order to register for the free summer pass, teens must go to their local YMCA accompanied by an adult and are required to bring an I.D. The nearest YMCA to Hollywood High School is only 10 minutes away by walking distance, found on Selma Ave and Schrader Blvd.
Rather than being lazy for two months of summer, it is best to take the opportunity of a free -gym pass which includes sports and classes for skills. The YMCA is making it cost-free to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle throughout all of summer.
