The spring parent-teacher conference will take place tomorrow, March 31st, starting at 5pm until 7pm.

Parents will be able to pick up their student’s 10 week report card in the quad. Parents will also be handed out a map of the school with the teacher’s room numbers.

Parking will not be available inside the campus for parents so it is important that they know to look for parking off-campus.

This event, known as PHBAO night, only takes place twice a year, once every semester.

This conference between the students’ parents and their teachers gives parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s academic achievement progress.
This conference also allows parents to have a direct relationship with the child’s parents. It is important that parents get involved in their child’s education because that gives the child mutual support from school and from home.
Not only does PHBAO night benefit the students and parents now, but it also gives them the opportunity to prepare for June, when final grades are due.

Parents can become aware of their child’s needs to succeed academically. They also have the chance of meeting their child’s teachers and learning about what courses they take.

PHBAO night consists of attendance updates and behavior reports as well. It is important for parents to know whether their child is coming to school with a positive attitude and ready to learn.

“Of course my parents are coming. They love to hear all the good things my teachers have to say about me. This is the time I get to impress them,” said NMA Junior, Valerie Rodriguez.

It is important that parents participate in this event because it may encourage their child to work harder in school. When parents become involved in their child’s education it is uplifting and very supportive. PHBAO night is a great way to catch up and keep up before final grades are due in just 2 months.
